Is it possible for the doll to sit up straight so the bar does not block her head?

All the pictures I have seen the dolls look really ackward.. even one of the display at AGP.

Does anyone have a doll who sits up nicely in it?

NO, not here. I been looking at how to redo the swing because it drives me crazy like it is...it's in the closet now.

Someone posted here about fixing it. You could try to do a search, or maybe she'll chime in.

I don't remember Jess looking awkward in it, but it does look odd once it's pointed out.

There isn't enough material between the bar and the top of the cloth part of the swing. They are all going to sit funny in it unless you add some more material to make it hang farther below the bar.

Someone else has already rigged theirs this way, but I can't remember who it was.

Thanks for the replies- it probably saved me a lot of money. I liked the idea of it, but haven't been thrilled with how the dolls look in it.

So I think I'll skip it and just get the Kayaking stuff and the doll.

    She is so gorgeous.

I don't remember who either, but I think all they did was lengthen the straps by adding a ribbon to them or something so it was lower. Maybe Kitschywoman?

It was me! I simply untied the rope from the bar, and slid the fabric off. I tied an extra piece of ribbon through the fabric and around the bar to add length, tied it over the bar, and retied the rope through the bar. At some point I will need to find fabric that matches the existing fabric. She sits great in it now! Yes, they certainly did not give enough length! The display at AGPC is also not right! Hope this helps!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was bugged about the bar being too close to her head. It's good to know it can be fixed in case I do end up getting it for dd. She got her first AG (Marisol) for Christmas and has already set her sights for Jess.LOL
